Ode to the nap
I’ve always thought that Spanish people were right with their siesta. I tend to doze in right after lunch at work. It’s during that moment that I tend to be almost non-productive and that I check some sites on the Internet. I’m happy to read (through lifehacker.com) that it’s certainly not abnormal.
I always remembered one Spaniard telling me about the siesta de la llave — the siesta of the key. It’s a short siesta: you sit down on a comfortable chair and while holding your keys in your hand, you can doze in. The moment you awaken again because of the noise of falling keys, it’s time to fully recover and continue the day!
